Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy
Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy (HCH) is a powerful psychotherapeutic modality used for transformational healing of body, mind, emotion, and spirit. This modality fits within the realms of deep experiential therapy, humanistic psychology and transpersonal psychotherapy. HCH combines elements of traditional and Eriksonian hypnosis, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Transactional Analysis (TA), developmental psychology, behavior modification, Gestalt techniques, pre- and perinatal psychology, and chakra opening.
After the client and therapist have developed a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship, a typical HCH session begins with the client setting an intention or discussing a problem area to be addressed during the session. The client is then induced into hypnosis that is a deep state of relaxation, peace and serenity. This trance state allows the client to access unconscious material. The client is always aware of what is going on in and around him during the session and is able to come out of trance at any time.
In the trance state, the client has the opportunity to go back to the original source of the problem (physical dis-ease, pain, negative emotional state such as anger, anxiety, guilt, and shame). Hypnosis facilitates the healing process by making it easier to access unconscious material such as buried memories of earlier traumatic experiences. Hypnosis often produces deep contact with emotions, an easing of repression, exposure of buried fears and conflicts, and healing through cathartic release and corrective emotional experience. Clients report having “aha” experiences about particular issues that have been plaguing them sometimes for decades.
New conclusions emerge along with decisions about how to behave and think about one-self. These become affirmations for the client and are vital to the healing process. They are anchored in the participant’s body, mind and spirit through a variety of experiential healing modalities.
