Payment and Insurance
Full payment is due at the time of service. We accept checks or cash only, no credit cards.
If you want to use insurance, Julie is an out-of-network provider so check your benefits with your insurance company. If you want to use insurance, you will be given a monthly financial statement that has all the required information for the insurance company. You can then attach the statement to the insurance forms that you submit to your insurance company. Because you will have paid in full for your sessions, the insurance company will send the reimbursements directly to you.
Know the risks involved with using insurance:
- Your insurance company will pay for therapy only if Julie gives you a mental health diagnosis. She will discuss the diagnosis with you prior to putting it on any financial statement.
- Once Julie submits a diagnosis, she cannot guarantee confidentiality as she does not know where your insurance records will end up or where the paper trail may lead.
- Some insurance companies require on-going input from the therapist to explain why additional sessions are medically needed.
In any case, before giving you any papers with a diagnosis or talking to anyone with your insurance company, you will discuss what is in your best interest. If you decide to use insurance, you will need to sign an authorization form giving Julie permission to release the necessary medical information.
